Precis

This Act repeals and replaces the Education Act 1972 and the Children's Services Act 1985, providing a contemporary framework for the delivery of high-quality children's services and compulsory education in this state. While the previous Acts have provided an adequate framework for education and early childhood services for many years, they no longer reflect the needs of our contemporary system.
