PrecisThe Petroleum and Geothermal Energy (Ban on Hydraulic Fracturing) Amendment Bill sets a 10-year ban on fracking in the South-East. It is intended that the 10-year ban will enable the community time to make informed opinions based on facts specific to the South-East.
The Limestone Coast Local Government Association, which includes the seven council areas included in this legislation, supports the 10-year ban.
