Introduced in the House of Assembly |
Sentencing (Serious Repeat Offenders) Amendment | 77 |
House of Assembly | 22/07/2020 |
This Act amends the Sentencing Act 2017 by ensuring that the serious repeat offender provisions can be more readily understood and applied. The Act will ensure that once a person meets specified offending thresholds, they will automatically be taken to be a serious repeat offender and must be sentenced as such for all subsequent offenses, regardless of whether they are deemed to be serious. |
