Fair Trading (Repeal of Part 6A - Gift Cards) Amendment | 57 |
House of Assembly | 03/06/2020 |
This Act amends the Fair Trading Act 1987 by repealing provisions relating to the regulation of gift cards which are now covered via a national scheme through the Australian Consumer Law. The national scheme provides that consumers across Australian can expect a minimum three-year expiry on gift cards while also ensuring clarity for retailers with respect to their responsibilities. |
