Introduced in the House of Assembly |
Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) (Rail Safety Work) Amendment | 36 |
House of Assembly | 08/04/2020 |
This Act amends the Rail Safety National Law (South
Australia) Act 2012. The Act makes changes to the definition of rail safety
work to ensure that it captures only work that could pose a risk to railway
operations as well as clearly distinguishing between risk from the work and
risk to the person performing the work. It is intended that the changes will
reduce the rail safety work assessment burden for industry by removing risks to
workers that are not specific to railway operations and therefore are
adequately addressed by work health and safety laws. |
